However, a walk in the woods near her home provides some big surprises – a mystical guardian from another world, a magical forest, and the discovery that her parents are part of a secret order that protects dreams. With the discovery comes a calling. A prophecy tells of a young one who can push back the dark forces that threaten to corrupt our hopes and dreams. Is Willow that young one? Can she take on the forces of evil, the Underlord Maliceius, and win?

My Review:

Your ultimate dreams in life will come true in Willow Bloom and the Dream Keepers a fantasy novel by E.V. Farrell where an ordinary soon to be 13-year-old girl’s life is turned around when she discovers she is anything but ordinary.

Who doesn’t know what it’s like to be almost 13 and wanting to plan the most perfect birthday? After all, you only become a teenager once in your life. That’s why Willow was my favorite character in this book. She thought she was ordinary until one walk in the woods changes her life forever. Suddenly, she is the hope everyone needs in the world. She is there to show us that dreams do come true and that people are destined for great things in this world.

I love the theme of this book which was centered around the goals and dreams people and how there is a special group of chosen people who are destined to protect those dreams. In a way, I found it as a way of telling the reader to never give up on their dreams and they will come true.

#★★★★☆ for this book. If you love fantasy, then this is a must read.

About E.V.:

Elizabeth Farrell was born and raised in rural Victoria, Australia. She worked for the Herald Sun newspaper in Melbourne before moving to London to work for the Mail on Sunday newspaper there. After spending all of the 90’s living and working in the UK, she returned home. Elizabeth currently resides in rural Gippsland, Victoria where she lives with her husband and two sons.

Fields of interest:  Philosophy, Spirituality, Archaeology, Environmental Sustainability, Health and Nutrition, Yoga, Swimming, Cooking.

The inspiration behind the book: I wanted to write a book that inspired and empowered our next generation of people. With so many dystopian views and stories out there, I felt it was important to portray a more hopeful future.

  1. Hi Christine, thank you so much for the gracious review on your site. As an author, we like the feedback. Not sure if you are aware but your 4 star review has only come up as 1 star on Goodreads? May you have a happy festive season. Elizabeth

  2. Thanks so much. I’ve had a look this morning, Friday, Australian time and the review has moved further up the page but still has 1 star and your review isn’t showing up. Apologies for the inconvenience it’s causing you. Elizabeth

  3. Thanks. It must be an issue when it’s on my page. If you tap in the book title under Goodreads, you’ll see a list of reviews with yours showing 1 star. When I go to your site, I see 4 stars, but not when I go to Goodreads. I clicked from your site review to link to Goodreads and shows 1 star that way too. Sorry for the extra work it has become but I would love to have your review there showing the 4 stars you gave it. Thanks again. Elizabeth

  4. Christine it may a Goodreads issue on their end, so it it’s all too tricky, please don’t spend too much time on it. Thanks again for your effort. Elizabeth
